The idea for a flower and gift shop sprouted before moving here, inspired by a desire to offer “The Delta” a more unique floral and gift experience. Wendy and Melissa Vrooman (mother and daughter) have put down roots in the Cleveland area and are excited to make this community home for many years to come. Southern by heart, they share a love for flea markets, estate sales and yard sales – places where you never know who you’ll meet or what treasures you may find!
The Number One Employee and Head of Customer Relations – our dog Echo – a friendly Weimaraner who welcomes everyone with enthusiastic tail wags. He will be your best friend before you leave and wants you to return soon. He rescued us when he was 3 years old and is now 10 and considers himself a lap dog as well. Look for the sign on our front door when he is in for the day!
Melissa has been creative from an early age, participating in an assortment of classes, involved with a local arts center, and has obtained her Bachelor’s degree from a college on the east coast. She continues to channel her artistic innovation through floral design and other mediums.
Wendy has enjoyed crocheting for years since most of her career has been centered around data analysis and technology. She has embraced this opportunity to work with flowers and loves to learn new techniques.
Melissa has a love of plants and some of her knowledge is rubbing off on her mom as both are the care givers of variety of plants, and are happy when their “little ones” bloom and grow!
Walk through the front door and feel the calming effect of live plants, colors that soothe the soul, and scents to bring joy. Melissa’s design for the store is reflected in the colors on the walls, the beautiful hardwood floors, and the cooler that holds a large variety of fresh flowers.
